Distinctions
Is
- A demonstration of completed work to stakeholders or interested parties.
- A common name for what may be part of, or confused with, a Sprint Review.
Is Not
- The same as a Sprint Review when the event is only a presentation and does not create inspection, feedback, or adaptation.
- A meaningful feedback loop if stakeholders merely approve, applaud, or receive status.
Boundary
A Sprint Demo becomes problematic when it turns empirical inspection into performance theater or a sign-off gate.
